Genesee Global Group Introduces New Machining Capabilities
Sept. 2, 2008: West Henrietta, New York—Genesee Global Group Inc., a contract manufacturer of precision metal-formed components and assemblies to a variety of industries, announced the addition of a new machining center to expand the company’s in-house capabilities to better meet customer needs.
The company’s new Mori-Seiki 5100 DuraVertical Machining Center represents the latest technology for flexible machining automation and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) in process quality assurance. With a standard storage capacity of 30 tools and a tool-to-tool change time of just 1.3 seconds, the DuraVertical 5100 delivers accuracy and reliability to cost effectively meet customers’ most demanding requirements. Machine specifications include:
- X-axis travel [longitudinal table movement]: 41.3” (1,055 mm)
- Y-axis travel [saddle cross movement]: 20.9” (530 mm)
- Z-axis travel [spindle head vertical movement]: 20.1” (510 mm)
- Table working surface: 53.1” x 23.6” (1,350 x 600 mm)
- Table loading capacity: 2,200 lb. (1,000 kg)
- Maximum spindle speed: 10,000 rpm
- Tool shank type: BT40 (CAT40)
- Tool storage capacity: 30
