Of all of the Genesee Group's strengths, none surpasses our depth in the engineering and process design of precision sheet metal parts production. Nor does any other Genesee attribute pay bigger dividends to its customers.

Once the contract review is complete, emphasis is placed on engineering each project for maximum quality, repeatability and throughput.

Since every component, assembly, or project we encounter is custom and unique, every one is individually analyzed for the best combination of materials, machinery, tooling, and human resources.

Whether a requirement involves standard, on-hand, turret tooling, modular tooling or more elaborate dies (such as compound, deep draw, or progressive), Genesee can design the most cost-effective process. In addition, for fixtures, gauges, special tools, robotic applications, special handling and the like, Genesee applies the appropriate devices and methods to get the job done right each and every time.

Process design is one of Genesee’s original core competencies.  We have the most modern equipment and the skilled tradesmen to handle the precision and volume necessary to meet customer deadlines. More than ever before, the pressure to get products to market rapidly dictates that custom-component specialists have this in-house wherewithal.

Using a variety of CAD programs that can communicate directly with our customers, process development and design assistance becomes attainable more efficiently and effectively. Our expanded capability includes:

  • Computer controlled machining centers
  • On-site test and measurement
  • Wire EDM technology
  • Reverse engineering

Additionally, our ability to produce cost effective tooling is unsurpassed in the industry. We recognize that, while tools and dies are necessary, our customers want to buy perfect parts and view tooling as a "means to the end." In dealing with reality, Genesee applies over fifty years of tool and die experience to rapidly produce economical tooling components that meet all customer specifications. Genesee customers can be assured that when we build the tooling, it is a risk-free proposition.

Barring a design revision, extraordinary circumstances, or radical change in volume, Genesee’s tooling is capable for the life of the product. Maintenance, sharpening, and repair are performed at no additional charge. Plus, as long as a job is active, we provide safe, environmentally regulated storage for your tooling indefinitely, at no additional charge.

Finally, at Genesee, we have no preference for any particular type of tools or method of producing precision sheet-metal formed parts. Since we do it all, we let the characteristics and specifications of each component or assembly dictate the most cost effective methods. If there are alternatives or budgetary decisions to be considered, we give our customers the options and then proceed as directed.
